Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Tawlify (“we”): as a guest ordering at a venue, as a venue's staff, or as a visitor to this website. By using Tawlify you agree to them. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Ordering as a guest

  • Tawlify passes your order to the venue. The venue, not Tawlify, sells you the food and drinks and is responsible for the menu, prices, preparation, allergens, service and payment, which you settle with the venue.
  • An order is placed when you send it; the venue may cancel it, for example if an item is unavailable.
  • Use a table's QR code and daily code only at that venue, and only to order for yourself and your party.
  • Loyalty stamp cards are run by each venue: the venue sets and may change or end its rewards, stamps can only be used at that venue, and they have no cash value.
  • You need to be 18 or older to create an account, and you're responsible for orders placed with it.
  • You can delete your account any time on your profile.

Allergens and menu answers

Allergen, ingredient and calorie information comes from the venue, and “Ask about the menu” answers are written by software reading that same menu. Both can be incomplete or wrong. If you have an allergy or an intolerance, ask the staff before you order and don't rely on what the app says.

Venues and their staff

  • Venues use Tawlify under the plan agreed with us (a free pilot month, then the price shown on Pricing), and can stop at the end of any paid period.
  • The venue keeps its staff sign-ins private, makes sure its menu, prices and allergen information are accurate, and is the controller of its guests' order data, which we process on its behalf as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Menu text and photos stay the venue's; it lets us host and show them to run the service.
  • Where we connect a venue's own system (a kitchen printer, a webhook or our order API), the venue keeps its API key secret and is responsible for what its system does with the orders we send it.
  • Printed QR codes belong to the venue: they keep and may keep using them if it stops using Tawlify, though they will no longer open an ordering page.

What a venue pays

  • The first month is free. After it, the list price is $30 a month per venue; the first 25 venues pay $25 a month and keep that price for as long as they stay with us. A year paid upfront costs 10 months' price for 12 months of cover.
  • The price covers up to 1,000 orders a month. A busier month adds $20 (up to 3,000 orders) or $50 (above that), worked out from the previous calendar month's orders, and it drops back when the venue is quieter again. We never take a commission on an order.
  • All prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax a venue owes locally. Venues pay by card through Stripe, or, in Lebanon, by Whish Money, OMT or cash we collect; a payment covers a period that we show in the venue's settings, and we email an invoice before it ends and a notice if it lapses.
  • Cancelling stops the next charge and the venue keeps the service to the end of the period it paid for. We don't refund part of a period unless the law requires it, and we may pause a venue whose payment stays unpaid after our notice.

The live demo

Our live demo creates a throwaway café for your visit. Nothing in it is a real order, no one is cooking anything, and the café and everything in it are deleted when the demo expires.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Tawlify. In particular, don't:

  • place fake orders, or order at a table or venue you aren't at;
  • try to guess codes, get around the security, or access another person's or venue's data;
  • overload the service, scrape it, or use it to send spam or unlawful content.

We may suspend accounts or venues that do.

Our software

Tawlify itself (the software, the screens and the name) stays ours. These terms let a venue and its guests use the service; they don't transfer any of it, and don't allow copying or reselling it.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Tawlify running, but it's provided as is and may sometimes be unavailable, including while we deploy an update. If an order doesn't come through, ask the staff. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our liability to a venue is limited to what it paid us in the previous 3 months. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer law gives you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Lebanese law, and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that a consumer may also sue, or be sued, where they live. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell venues and signed-in guests about important changes before they apply. Notices to a venue go to the email on its account. Questions: write to us on our contact page.
